About Me
Hi! My name is Florencia Levinton Schabelman but you can call me Flori. I'm very excited with my first book, Primogénito (First-Born). I had a signing at Barnes and Noble in New Orleans, Louisiana and was overjoyed by the welcoming of the book.
I hope you read it and write me to tell me what you think about it. Right now I'm in the process of translating it to English and, as soon as I have it ready, I'll let my readers know through my web site.
First Born
First-Born, by Florencia Levinton Schabelman, can be read like a series of adventures experienced by a mother and her unconventional son.
The book can also be read as a learning experience; through the scars left by passing time, the struggles of a boy becoming a man, and the mother that has to lead him on that path.
This is not a psychological study. It is a way for me to communicate with those first-time mothers who hold the illusion that their first-born child is a cute little dream doll.
The hard reality hits them when the doll won't even smile, wants to eat when he wants and not at established hours, has to be changed more often than when we want to see him in his new cute suit, and screams like a banshee when you put him to bed.
Future moms will read about how the child slowly becomes the teacher, molding and changing the mother's whole perspective on life.
